Freelance Associate Men's Technical Designer to join their team.
Salary/Hourly Rate
$35/hr+
Position Overview
As the Freelance Associate Men's Technical Designer, you will play a crucial role in translating conceptual designs into production-ready garments that meet the high standards of quality and craftsmanship. You will collaborate closely with Designers, Pattern Makers, and Production teams to ensure that the collections are not only visually stunning but also functional and well-constructed.
Responsibilities Of The Freelance Associate Men's Technical Designer
- Collaborate with the Design team to understand and interpret design concepts.
- Must be able to work closely with the Technical Design Men's team.
- Create and maintain detailed technical drawings, including flat sketches, spec sheets, and construction notes.
- Develop and communicate garment specifications to overseas manufacturers.
- Attend fit sessions and provide feedback on prototypes to ensure garments meet design and quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during the production process.
Required Experience/Skills for the Freelance Associate Men's Technical Designer:
- At least 4 years of experience in fashion design, preferably with exposure to men's private label or mass-market brands.
- Proficiency in Excel and Adobe Illustrator.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, textiles, and production processes.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree is required.
