Our pharmaceutical client is seeking a Medical Writer to join their team for the next 6 months, 40 hours/week.
This role is Hybrid in Mettawa, IL office ; 2-3 days onsite / week
This is an exciting role for a Medical Writer to provides strategic direction and advice, writing, editing, and content for print and electronic media for advertising, promotion, and other communications. The primary goal of this position to provide impactful strategic materials at below market rates.
This role will develop Medical copy, editing, content generation for print and electronic media for advertising, promotion, and other communications. Deliverable include medical product and indication launches, sales collateral materials, sales meetings, convention exhibits, direct to physician and other healthcare professionals, direct to patient, Managed Health Care programs, videos, web/multimedia, internal communication programs, including sales training, incentive projects on an ad hoc basis.
Requirements for the Medical Writer: -
- 10-15+ years pharmaceutical advertising agency experience; -B.A./B.S/degree or higher
- Experience developing HCP-facing sales materials for the pharmaceutical industry
- Working knowledge of FDA and industry standards for pharmaceutical advertising
- Experience developing advertising and promotional ideas, concepts, and campaigns
- Advanced written, verbal, and presentation skills; project management skills; and organizational skills
Responsibilities For The Medical Writer
- Writing of pharma and medical materials
- Working independently, often under tight deadlines, while juggling multiple brands/projects
- Translating complex information into successful communications aimed at various professional and patient target audiences
- Learning and applying applicable regulations and standards affecting Pharmaceutical Products, and the promotion of sales and marketing materials/samples and interactions with healthcare professionals
- Generating and editing content for print and electronic media for advertising, promotion, and other communications
- Providing strategic direction and advice for deliverables
- Supporting commercial team, with ad hoc support of other functions and corporate teams
- Developing content in collaboration with franchise and cross-functional review processes
(Medical, Regulatory, Legal, etc.)
- Working with multiple internal and external resources
- Generating consumer, external facing creative content and concepting
- Collaborating with art directors and designers in the creation of materials
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data, including medical data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment. Additionally, drug products may be present in the workplace.
