Freelance Technical Designer (Denim Bottoms) – 2-Month Contract

Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Freelance Technical Designer with 3–5 years of experience in apparel—specifically in denim bottoms. The ideal candidate has strong technical knowledge of garment construction, is confident measuring samples and production, and brings a well-versed understanding of denim silhouettes. This role requires hands-on collaboration with our tech design team to ensure product accuracy and consistency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately measure and review fit samples for denim bottoms
- Create and update technical packages (tech packs) as needed
- Interpret and apply fit comments for revisions
- Maintain and track sample development, approvals, and revisions
- Collaborate with design and production to ensure consistency in specs and construction
- Reviewing and measuring retail samples
- Utilize internal systems to input pattern and updates (training will be provided if needed)
- Maintain organization and accuracy in Excel-based tracking sheets
Required Qualifications:
- 3–5 years of experience as a technical designer, preferably in denim or bottoms
- Strong knowledge of garment construction and fit evaluation
- Proficient in measuring samples
- Proficient in Excel and Adobe Photoshop
- Understanding of patternmaking in any system (experience with PLM systems a plus)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and being a team player
Salary $40 per hour
