Rate Range: $30-$35 per hour

We are looking for a highly creative and skilled
Social Media Creative Designer to support our CPG client on a 3-month freelance basis. In this role, you will own visual storytelling across our social media channels. This client has a large portfolio of brands that you will be working on.
This position is ideal for someone with a strong background in visual design, motion graphics, and video editing-combined with a sharp understanding of social media trends and platform-specific content formats.
Designer Responsibilities
- Design and produce engaging content for social media channels, including Instagram (Feed, Stories, Reels), TikTok, Facebook, YouTube (Thumbnails, Shorts, Channel Art)
- Develop creative concepts, layouts, and motion graphics that align with brand identity and campaign strategy.
- Work closely with the social media partner to support campaign development and day-to-day content needs (changes).
- Edit short-form videos with attention to pacing, captions, sound design, and platform-specific requirements and nuances.
- Repurpose long-form content into short-form clips optimized for different platforms.
- Maintain a consistent visual identity across all social media assets.
- Stay up to date on social trends, platform updates, and content performance insights to optimize creative output.
- Software that could be used in this role are Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Premiere Pro (or Final Cut Pro / DaVinci Resolve), Blender (for basic 3D design or animation needs), Canva (for quick-turn content), CapCut or similar mobile editing apps (for TikTok and Reels), Figma, and Video & motion editing software.
Designer Qualification Requirements
- 5 years of experience in social media content creation, design, or motion graphics.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating your ability to create a range of static, motion, and video content tailored for social platforms.
- Experience developing User Generated Content
Nice to Have
- Experience developing social-first brand identity or design systems.
- Experience in photography or videography.
- Experience using Workfront to manage your assets.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
