JOB DESCRIPTION –

Job Summary:

The Graphic Designer is responsible for creating Graphic Designs and visualizing 2D product concepts for the Fashion and Home consumer products business, working with brands in Entertainment. The role requires high attention to detail from creative concept ideation through to completed design, producing graphic layouts, pitches, presentations and style-guides to inspire licensees and retailers. Experience of researching and selecting relevant fashion and graphic trends and designing coordinated collections for apparel, accessories and homewares is key. Previous experience of working with entertainment IP, both live action and animated is required.

Responsibilities include:

• Development of Graphic Designs across multiple properties and Brands

• Create pitch decks and style guides for both internal and external partners

• Idea generation for Franchise expansion

• Research and identify relevant fashion trends

• Design coordinated collections to inspire licensees and retailers

• Contribute new product ideas and participate in brainstorming sessions

• Coordinates with internal teams, and content partners on new monthly development

• Able to flex and design for multiple brands and genres, from animation to live action, preschool to horror

• Responsible for maintaining high Graphic Design standards

• Understands Graphic Design and how it translates to products for product development

• Fresh and inventive creative thinker

• Awareness of fashion and consumer trends

• Strong team player

QUALIFICATIONS –

• 3 – 5 years of related work experience in graphic design, illustration, character art or merchandise design

• Strong knowledge of Graphic Design & Branding

• Strong knowledge and understanding of fashion and merchandise design

• Strong traditional and digital drawing skills, and concepting skills

• Strong expertise in both design and illustration skills.

• Ability to draw and stylize characters

• Hand lettering/custom typography

• Strong color sense and design layout/composition abilities

• Pro-active / Can-do attitude

• Able to work on multiple projects in fast-paced environment

• Strong time management skills

• Resourceful and proactive

• Strong creative computer skills (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Creative Suite, Keynote)

• Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Art and Design
