About the Role
We are seeking a talented and versatile Freelance Designer with a background in fashion or accessories to support the development of our latest collection of reading glasses and sunglasses. While direct eyewear experience is not required, a strong design sensibility and familiarity with product design and technical drawing are essential.
Key Responsibilities
• Create design sketches and concept drawings for new eyewear styles
• Design prints and patterns for eyewear frames that reflect seasonal trends and brand identity
• Develop technical CADs to communicate design intent clearly to development teams
• Collaborate with VP of Product + Brand and Product team to refine designs for production
• Ensure all files and artwork are presentation-ready and production-appropriate
Requirements
Requirements
• 2+ years of experience in fashion, accessories, or product design
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Strong skills in sketching, illustration, and digital rendering
• Experience preparing technical drawings or CADs for product development
• A keen eye for color, pattern, and shape
Nice to Have
• Experience designing hard or soft accessories (e.g., handbags, jewelry, footwear, etc.)
• Understanding of the product development process and manufacturing standards
• A portfolio showcasing both creative vision and technical skills
