General Purpose:
At Klean Kanteen, we are thought leaders and history makers. The Junior Graphic Designer plays a pivotal role in supporting Klean Kanteen’s Creative Team, focusing on producing creative assets that align with our brand's mission and values. This position offers growth opportunities, starting with supportive tasks and evolving into more independent projects as experience is gained.

Essential Functions:
- Design: Produces assets that bring the Klean Kanteen brand to life, with consideration of brand guidelines, design trends and new creative concepts
- Photography Production: Manages color correction and organization of incoming product photography & renders
- Project Management and Support: Manages multiple projects simultaneously and effectively to meet deadlines

Leadership and Collaboration:

- Actively supports a culture of transparency to the team, distributors, retail partners, and consumers of Klean Kanteen.
- Actively participates in the development plan for the team, and their own professional development
- Follows departmental processes and procedures
- Measures and monitors progress against objectives and performance targets
- Effectively collaborates with internal and external stakeholders
Design:
- Design and produce marketing collateral, including sell sheets, packaging elements, trade show materials, and in-store signage
- Create digital assets for email marketing, eCommerce, and advertising campaigns
- Develop engaging social media content for platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
- Ensure all creative materials adhere to brand guidelines and industry best practices
- Optimize and format final artwork for various applications, including print and digital
Photography Production:
- Perform basic color correction and finalization of product and lifestyle photography
- Organize and upload assets to internal storage platforms (e.g., Amplifi, SharePoint)
Project Management and Support:
- Work closely with Marketing, Sales, and Product teams to ensure creative projects meet business needs
- Support the Creative Manager in managing external creative partners, such as photographers, agencies, and freelance designers
- Will manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring all deliverables meet deadlines and brand standards
Job Qualifications:
Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
- Strong understanding of brand storytelling and visual communication
- Strong professional communication skills written and verbal, and ability to collaborate across teams
- Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) within a Creative Cloud environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Docs
- Excellent project coordination and organizational skills; Ability to organize, plan and manage priorities with attention to detail and time management
- Ability to think critically, problem-solve, ask clarifying questions, and make good decisions
- Ability to think quickly, act decisively, inform others and execute approved direction
- Ability to work independently, self-starter, self-motivated and take ownership of tasks
- Ability to prioritize, direct others as needed and always maintain confidentiality
Education or Formal Training:
- Minimum BS/BA in Graphic Design or related field or relevant work experience required
Experience:
Direct or relevant combination of training and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities to complete job duties
- 1-3 years' experience in graphic design, digital production or related creative roles, preferred
- Experience with web design production is a plus but not required
- Background in the outdoor industry, natural foods, or lifestyle brands is advantageous
- Pasion for sustainability, reusable solutions, and alignment with Klean Kanteen’s mission preferred
Material and Equipment Directly Used:
- Mac Laptop, Adobe Creative Suite Software (Creative Cloud), standard computer printers and faxes, copy machines and other office equipment
Working Environment/Physical Activities:
- Standard business / cubicle environment
- Occasional outdoor work for photo shoots or events
- Bending, and reaching forward, sideways, and overhead
- Finger dexterity to perform functions on computer and access files
- Sitting for long periods at a time
- Lifting to 30 lbs., as necessary to perform job functions
