Our client is a hiring a Senior Graphic Designer to assist their team for the next 3+ months. This role is 40 hours/week at their Carlsbad office Tuesday-Thursday and remote on Mondays and Fridays.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate closely with the creative team to understand project requirements and translate conceptual designs into production-ready artwork.
- Execute and refine design concepts to produce print-ready and digital assets, ensuring accuracy, consistency and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Conduct thorough quality checks on artwork, including proofreading, image and color corrections, file optimization and prepress preparation.
- Retouch images to improve quality, build and extend backgrounds, etc. both in print and digital formats.
- Implement efficient production processes and workflows to streamline design deliverables and meet project timelines.
- Collaborate with external vendors and suppliers to ensure accurate production and delivery of materials, including print proofs and press checks.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software, especially Adobe Creative Cloud and other relevant tools is required. Bonus if you have experience with After Effects and Premiere.
- Excellent understanding of digital and print production processes and printing techniques, color theory, typography and image optimization is required.
- Exceptional attention to detail, with a keen eye for visual aesthetics and the ability to maintain consistency across multiple projects is a must.
- Experience with digital content, such as social media, online advertising, and email campaigns is necessary.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently, handling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Education And Experience
- Bachelor's degree in graphic design, visual communication or a related field.
- 4-5+ experience as a graphic designer or production artist or in a similar role, preferably within a creative agency, design studio or in-house creative department.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
