Position Overview

We’re looking for a seasoned Freelance Creative Director to lead the creative vision for a series of high-impact, 360° brand campaigns in the travel and luxury space. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on storytelling, has a refined eye for aesthetics, and knows how to build elevated brand worlds that translate seamlessly across channels— a focus on social / influencer, and experience in digital to print and experiental is an added plus.

Location and Salary

This is a part-time, contract role with a salary range of $100-$120 per hour, depending on experience. This role can be performed remotely from California, Georgia, New Jersey, New York or Texas,. LA-based employees have the option to work several days per week from Saylor’s office in Echo Park, Los Angeles.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead concept development and execution for integrated campaigns across all channels (digital, social, print, OOH, experiential, etc.)
  • Translate brand strategy and goals into compelling creative concepts and visual directions
  • Guide and inspire creative teams (art direction, copywriting, design, production) throughout the lifecycle of the project
  • Collaborate with strategy, accounts, and production to ensure creative excellence and on-time delivery
  • Present and pitch ideas directly to clients and stakeholders with clarity and confidence
  • Maintain high creative standards that align with the expectations of luxury and travel audiences

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience, including significant time spent in travel, hospitality, lifestyle, or luxury sectors
  • Proven experience developing and leading 360 campaigns, from brand platforms to launch executions
  • Strong portfolio that showcases storytelling, world-building, and visual sophistication
  • Equally comfortable directing a brand film as you are building out a paid social playbook
  • Sharp instincts for what resonates with affluent, global consumers
  • Strong communicator and collaborator with a client-facing presence
  • Hands-on when needed—comfortable jumping in to write a script, build a deck, or art direct a lookbook
  • Familiarity with creative AI tools and workflows (i.e. generative AI for ideation, visual exploration, or automation) is a plus
