Position Overview
Our Commercial Interior Design client is searching for a Designer and Drafter to join their team for up to 4 months, onsite in Minneapolis.
Location: onsite, Minneapolis
Duration: 2-4 months; 40hrs/week
Key Responsibilities
Utilize CAD as the primary design tool to create detailed layouts and plans.
Use 2020 Cap for product sourcing, design development, and proposal generation.
Create and update installation drawings with specific product requirements.
Develop Look Books and design presentations tailored to client needs and budgets.
Maintain design consistency while meeting functional and aesthetic requirements.
Collaborate with sales representatives to develop concepts, drawings, and design solutions.
Create and present proposals through 2020 Cap, integrating with DDMS (ERP) for order management.
Conduct onsite meetings with sales reps and clients to pitch ideas and gather feedback.
Access and reference historical data from the server and Dropbox as needed.
Track and update tariffs, surcharges, and vendor-specific details, ensuring accurate pricing.
Submit and manage orders through DDMS, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
Partner with the sales team to develop comprehensive client presentations and proposals.
Work with the installation team to ensure accurate and complete installation documentation.
Communicate design concepts clearly through drawings, presentations, and meetings.
Qualifications
Associate or Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Drafting, or related field.
Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD preferred); experience with Revit is a plus.
Strong skills in 2020 Cap and familiarity with DDMS (ERP) for project management.
Experience creating and managing design proposals, presentations, and installation drawings.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all project documentation.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Ability to collaborate effectively with sales and installation teams.
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
Knowledge of commercial furniture products and design trends is highly desirable.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
