PBM Technical / Proposal Writer
Position Overview
Our agency client is seeking a Pharmacy Benefits Management Technical Writer to join their team in a freelance capacity. Ideal hours will be between 30-40 but they're open to people with part time availability. This role will start around March 31st and run for 4 weeks with the opportunity for extension. This PBM Proposal Writer will be responsible for writing, editing, and proofreading proposals related to pharmacy benefits management. This position aims to ensure that all materials are clear, accurate, and aligned with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as a project manager for assigned RFP responses, ensuring timely and high-quality submissions.
- Develop, write, edit, and proofread proposal responses, tailoring messaging to align with client-specific requirements.
- Collaborate with SMEs and stakeholders to gather information and craft persuasive content.
- Maintain compliance with RFP requirements while highlighting the value and strengths of services.
- Create professional, polished final response documents for submission.
- Help develop and refine templates, boilerplate content, process flowcharts, organization charts, and supporting graphics.
- Incorporate feedback from past proposals to strengthen future responses.
- Research industry trends and competitive intelligence to enhance client proposal content and positioning.
- Participate in strategy sessions to align responses with sales objectives.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement in proposal development and content management.
- Work closely with teams across organizations to ensure consistency and effectiveness in proposal messaging.
Qualifications
- PBM proposal writing experience is mandatory - candidates must have direct experience writing and managing RFP responses in the PBM or healthcare space.
- Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple proposals simultaneously in a fast-paced environment without compromising quality.
- Strong project management skills with experience meeting tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and various proposal management software.
