Position Overview
Our well known adventure-driven retail client is seeking a talented Motion Designer/Video Editor to join their creative team freelance to hire. In this role, you will be responsible for creating compelling motion graphics and editing videos that effectively communicate the brand's message. You will collaborate with various teams to bring ideas to life through innovative visuals and engaging storytelling.
This hybrid role requires working in downtown Chicago 2-3 days a week, for 40 hours per week, over a minimum period of 12 weeks. There is a strong potential for this position to convert to full-time.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and edit high-quality video content for various platforms including social media, websites, and presentations.
- Create motion graphics, including lower thirds, full-screen graphics, branded transitions, countdown timers, captions, and stylized stock footage.
- Perform multi-camera editing to ensure seamless integration of various footage.
- Conduct color correction across different color spaces to enhance visual quality and maintain consistency.
- Master audio to ensure clarity, balance, and overall quality in final video productions.
- Design thumbnails and various graphics.
- Ensure all video content is optimized for different platforms and formats.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of video editing and motion graphics experience utilizing Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects.
- Proven experience exporting content for platforms such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, digital signage, LED displays, and PMAX.
- Proficiency in multi-camera editing, color correction, and audio mastering.
- Experience with audio editing and sound design.
- Advanced knowledge of Premiere, After Effects, and DaVinci.
- Ability to organize and manage assets using tools like Canto, Dropbox, and Frame.io.
- A portfolio showcasing your video editing and motion design work is required.
In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data. This position is onsite and requires you to work closely with other individuals in a collaborative team environment.
