We are hiring a Freelance Editor of Technology Content with immediate availability, with 5+ years of experience required. In this role, you’ll write and edit B2B technology content for one of our largest and fastest growing accounts – a Fortune 200 company, whose accolades include Content Marketing Program of the Year. The hourly rate in the D.C. area is $50-$80/hour.


Responsibilities

  • Lead editorial and messaging direction for B2B technology content.
  • In keeping with client brand parameters, own editorial calendar development, content creation and content editing on a variety of content projects.
  • Hone and develop multidiscipline marketing and content campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Collaborate with analytics, audience engagement and performance marketing to support content strategy with data-driven creative ideas.
  • Assign stories to and work closely with freelance writers as needed.
  • Attend and cover industry events as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to bring brand and marketing insights to wider content program.


Requirements

  • Freelance availability late March 2025, for up to 40 hours per week, required.
  • 5+ years of professional writing experience including experience as a journalist and/or editor.
  • Experience working with clients in an agency setting.
  • Experience writing and editing about technology content.
  • Experience in B2B marketing; experience in content marketing.
  • Sharp writing and editing skills and ability to craft compelling narrative on deadline.
  • Experience with content management systems, HTML and CSS.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and deadlines.
  • On-camera video and experience a plus.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required.
