FREELANCE Bellweather Studio Designer


As a Freelance Bellweather Studio Designer, you will play a key role in shaping and maintaining the Bellweather brand. Dedicated exclusively to in-house projects, you will collaborate closely with our Business Development Manager and internal teams to create visually engaging materials that reflect Bellweather’s identity and values. From RFP proposals and conference materials to branded swag and presentation templates, your work will be instrumental in enhancing how Bellweather communicates its vision and expertise.


This position reports directly to the Chief Creative Officer/Creative Director, and Creative Services Manager.


Pay will be $35-$45 per hour based on experience.


Expected Freelance Commitment

This is a freelance position with a contract duration of 3 months, for up to 10-20 hours per week. Weekly hours may vary based on project timelines.


Job Responsibilities 

Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Ideate and Create: (50%)

  • Proposal and Presentation Design: Collaborate with the Business Development Manager to design RFP proposals, marketing materials, and client pitches, ensuring visual clarity and brand alignment.
  • Marketing and Sales Materials: Develop materials for conferences, branded swag, and internal campaigns that reinforce Bellweather’s identity and values.
  • Template Creation: Create and refine branded templates for presentations, documents, and other internal assets.
  • Case Study and Social Media Graphics: Design compelling visuals for case studies and social media, collaborating with the core design team to create assets for Bellweather’s website and owned channels, including Instagram and LinkedIn.
  • Visual Consistency: Ensure all materials adhere to Bellweather’s branding guidelines, maintaining a cohesive and polished look across all projects.


Scale: (40%)

  • Presentation Excellence: Design impactful and visually compelling presentations, with a focus on Google Slides, that effectively communicate Bellweather’s messaging.
  • File Management: Maintain organized, production-ready files and ensure efficient hand-off for printing or digital use.
  • Feedback Integration: Respond to feedback from internal stakeholders, revising designs while preserving creative integrity.


Collaboration and Communication: (10%)

  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, business development, and leadership, to ensure deliverables align with organizational goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Present work for review, incorporating feedback to enhance final outcomes.
  • Cross-functional Support: Provide occasional design support for ad-hoc internal needs, including team presentations and reports.


Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience as a graphic designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing presentation designs, branded materials, and marketing assets.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and strong skills in Google Slides.
  • Excellent understanding of layout, typography, and visual hierarchy.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders.
  • Experience in internal branding or in-house design roles is a plus.
  • Organized workspace conducive for remote work, inspiring creativity and professionalism.
