Freelance Assistant Designer - Intimate Apparel

We are looking for a Freelance Assistant Designer - Intimates-bras, panties and sleepwear for a top fashion company in New York, New York.

Responsibilities:

• Individual contributor position responsible for assisting in the creation of product designs.
• Support the coordination of designs; encompassing style, color / print, fit and fabric, or materials for assigned new/existing product lines.
• May own a low volume category. Relies on experience to plan and accomplish goals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in fashion design or equivalent experience.
• Proactive, creative, strong design eye.
• Ability to work independently.
• Strong Illustrator CAD skills (technical CADs, creating brushes or patterns / textures, coloring CADs).
• Basic knowledge of garment construction, with emphasis on lingerie and women’s RTR (constructed, couture garments).
