About the Role:
We’re looking for a highly motivated Freelance Trade Marketing Manager to help us execute sales programs and drive velocity in both the on-premise (restaurants and bars) and off-premise (retail and grocery) channels. You’ll collaborate closely with our sales and marketing teams to develop and implement impactful trade initiatives that bring the atōst brand to life at every touchpoint.
This role is perfect for a self-starter with experience in trade marketing within the alcohol or beverage space who thrives in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
What You’ll Do:
Sales Program Execution:
Develop and execute trade marketing programs to support our sales team and distributor partners.
Coordinate and track the implementation of promotions, displays, and other trade marketing materials.
Velocity Driving Initiatives:
Create and manage programs to increase product sell-through at on-premise and off-premise accounts.
Support activations, tastings, and events designed to engage trade partners and consumers.
Account Engagement:
Build relationships with key accounts and distributors to ensure atōst is well-represented in all channels.
Provide training and resources to trade partners, ensuring they’re equipped to promote atōst effectively.
Trade Insights:
Monitor and analyze trade marketing efforts, providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
Stay ahead of industry trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activity to drive innovation in trade programs.
Creative Asset Management:
Work with internal teams and freelance designers to develop custom trade marketing materials such as menus, table tents, and POS displays tailored to specific accounts.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 3+ years of trade marketing experience, preferably in the alcohol/beverage or hospitality industry.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of on-premise and off-premise channels, including account activation strategies.
- Skills: Excellent project management, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Flexibility: Ability to travel to key markets for events, tastings, and account meetings as needed.
- Entrepreneurial Spirit: A creative problem-solver who thrives in a startup-like environment and can independently manage priorities.
- Passion: A love for California, the aperitif lifestyle, and crafting meaningful trade experiences.
