We are seeking a highly creative and motivated
Junior Packaging Specialist to join our client's dynamic team! In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver trend-forward brand packaging solutions across global divisions. You will play a crucial role in overseeing the development of packaging, ensuring quality, brand consistency, and timely execution. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to innovative packaging designs while working alongside product development, buyers, and external suppliers.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in designing trend-forward brand packaging across multiple home categories.
- Collaborate with product development, merchandising, and trend teams to align packaging with lifestyle needs and product categories.
- Support the creation of compelling and cohesive brand packaging, including boxes, hangtags, labels, etc.
- Oversee vendor relationships, ensuring packaging quality and timely deliveries through a structured approval process.
- Provide creative direction to designers, freelancers, and contractors on branding and packaging content.
- Manage packaging projects from concept through execution, including proofing designs and coordinating with product development and regulatory teams.
- Ensure all legal and trademark requirements are met in collaboration with the legal team.
- Coordinate product photography for packaging, ensuring high-quality images and styling.
- Drive efficiency improvements and maintain adherence to deadlines and quality standards for print, color, and construction.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Design, Packaging, or a related field (BFA preferred).
- 2-3 years of experience in packaging or graphic design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and MS Office.
- Strong understanding of design trends, color theory, typography, and visual style.
- Experience managing multi-disciplinary design teams or freelancers.
- Ability to guide stakeholders through the design process while ensuring brand integrity.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong aesthetic sensibility and attention to detail.
- Ability to think creatively across platforms including product and branding.
- Knowledge of legal and trademark considerations for packaging.
- Photography management experience is a plus.
